Romeo Raps
Romeo Raps
During the Minor Data Visualization, we were given a dataset that consisted of the old book of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. The goal was to extract new knowledge or a new experience from the book that could only be done by data visualization. In the end, I created a rap generator that was able to scan the dataset and create 12 rhyming lines of text from the imported book. By adding instrumental beats and the opportunity to regenerate or generate more lines, the users could test out their rap skills in the audio booth at the exposition at Avans Den Bosch. In addition, I put the program on a temporal website to share it with a rap community to see if someone would use it to make a rap song out of it. Several users showed their love for the project and one even made a full sized song using the rap generator (see below slider).
